Soft, used tissues against streaked blue water mingle above my head. Needle sharp, painless, green, standing at attention beneath my body. Breath of Earth brushing past, tickling my nose right before my eyes. And look…a ladybird. Hmm. Oh train of thought, did you go?

Did you? Did you witness it? Did you see it happen? Did you notice at all? Did you feel it? Did you experience it? Did you already forget it all? Did you forget all we did? All we saved? All we changed? Did you forget all we did? Did you hear our cries? Of pain? Of despair? Did you hear our cries? Did you see the difference? The changes? The all-around greatness? Did you see the difference? Did you?

Cooperation is outdated, While we're being underestimated! We fight against oppression, Freedom fight classes are now in session! We light our burning torches, And sit on company porches. Holding signs that speak the truth, There's no doubt, the point is moot. Listen to cries, As we shout them to skies. As we climb up on walls, With ideas to cushion the falls. Duct tape over loud, brazen mouths. Twine tied around stomping feet. Plastic cuffs snapped onto kicking legs. Silence placed over a non-fearing crowd. You just pissed us off, prepare for Hell.

To the rhythm of a thousand time bombs ticking away. We crawl on our hands and knees under heavy pepper spray. Someone's about to light a match, Burns from the explosion, Bandages from  your partners in war. To the flurry of ideas that give us our passion. To the killer of bad dreams and the freedom assassin. Jackboots clomping on every street. Students sprayed with a heavy sheet of pepper spray. Plastic, bulletproof, protective shields, Lined up inside clustered fields of hopefuls. Shouts and cries of voices to be heard, Shouting aloud the sacred word of those tired of being overlooked. Signs that bellow the chants of a sea of heroes, Who scream and whisper in the fiery throes of passion and individuality. If I had a hammer, I'd smash it against the streets. And if I had a banner, I'd print it out in sheets. If I had a voice, I'd make sure I was heard. And if I had a choice, All those sharpened lines would be blurred. If I had a chance, To rebel like I imagine, I'd wipe away that glance of askance, And look for that burning passion. If I could be the ruler of the riot, I'd light a fire in those hearts, I'd put us all on a diet of ideas that make new starts.
